The Ferry Crossing

The party returned to the river crossing east of Newhaven — the same ferry they'd taken in pursuit of the cult back in Session 5. This time the raft was stained with blood, and the ferryman was nowhere to be found.

The Spider Forest

The route east cut through a forest thick with spiders. The party made short work of them.

The Bloodless Homestead

Further along, the party came across a homestead where the farmer and his wife had been reduced to bloodless husks — grim, and unmistakably in keeping with Sanguinax's methods.

The Fort in the Hills

The trail led on to the cult's stronghold at the Ruins of Kathas Castle, tucked into the hills east of the river. Word is High Order Malgora's ritual is due in two nights — possibly sooner, maybe as little as one.

The party's new directive: bring back Malgora's head. The theory is that the blood magic bound up in the corpse will reveal who Malgora really is.
